Food and Beverage Reviews

We tried these Food and Beverages and This is What We Thought!

Welcome to the Food and Beverage section of our blog! We got in touch with the following companies and tried out their products, unless otherwise noted, these products have been provided at a discount or free in exchange for our honest feedback!

I wrote to YummySnacks and they send me one of each of their bars! You can also purchase them here.

They are much healthier than a regular candy bar, yet they come as the closest runner up and even give you a chart to compare what bar is comparable, as well as some highlight of nutritional info. My favorite was the peppermint flavor, my least favorite was peanut butter. They are gluten free, which is nice for people who are looking for a special diet.

Our Mom and Dad gave us these wonder varieties of nuts and we LOVE them. They purchase Archer Farms Brand at Target, you can also check them out on the Target Website!

We have never been disappointed and although we didn't purchase any yet, when I get a chance I am getting more Toffee Macadamia Nuts, my absolute favorite one!

Our family gave us these wonderful Hershey Kisses Deluxe! You can check them out here. They are soo good and not hard at all. They are giant Hershey Kisses with a tender chocolate filling and delicate hazelnut! The packaging is nice and makes sure that they don't get damaged. What a great treat or gift to give!

Wild Zoya Meat and Veggie Snacks, you can check out their flavors and purchase here.
I wrote to Wild Zoya and asked if they would be so kind to send me some samples and they send me one of each! They have 5 flavors to choose from and they are pretty good.

They have a beef jerky type consistency, not too chewy or tough though. My favorite flavor is the Chili Beef Bars with Kale, Apricot, Cayenne Pepper. Make sure if you can't eat it all at once, put in the fridge so it doesn't spoil. No Artificial flavoring here, just natural goodness!

USDA Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder by Matcha Organics, purchase on Amazon here

This is another Matcha Tea I was able to try and this may actually have the last one beat. I found that this Matcha Organics was not quite as bitter as the last. The biggest difference however, is that this is matcha is made not just for tea drinking but is a culinary matcha and there are many recipes available to enjoy it in.

Matcha Organics Matcha Green Tea Powder is a more olive toned Matcha and I found out even more information about the health benefits as they were so kind to include many right on their resealable bag.

I definitely think this is a high quality matcha and hope that you take the opportunity to try it as well. Especially when it comes to baking and lattes, this is very nice.

Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea Review, Check them here out on Amazon

We have never had Matcha Tea before so this was pretty exciting for us! It is a type of green tea, and has many claims of  health benefits such as antioxidants called polyphenols which are thought to protect against things such as cancer and heart disease, lower blood sugar , reduce stress and help lower blood pressure. It does have caffeine , but you get the energy without the jitters! It is also said to help metabolism.

The definition of matcha is powder, the tea consists of finely ground  bright green powder with no or very little odor.

Traditionally, to make this, you will need a bamboo whisk, matcha bowl, about 2 oz of water, a sift/fine strainer and a 1/2-3/4 teaspoon.

First, take the bowl and put your water in it, then 1/2-3/4 of the Midori Spring Matcha Green Tea will be sifted in the water. Next, use your bamboo whisk to stir the matcha tea, making sure to not scrape the bowl while doing so, and whisk gently until it begins to froth.

Lastly, enjoy your tea! Some will find it bitter at first but generally grow to love matcha tea. I thought it was indeed bitter but would like better slightly hotter than I had mine and possibly adding a little honey would cut the bitterness.

Although this is not a cooking grade matcha tea, if you want you can also mix matcha tea into shakes, smoothies and recipes.

You should check it out and see what you think! I will continue to try to incorporate it in my everyday life and reap the benefits!

I received this for free in exchange for my unbiased, honest review.
